Conducting a research project during my final year of undergrad has been such a rewarding experience. Being able to examine the anticancer potential of various bacterial isolates in the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Biology Lab taught me more about the vast amount of research that remains to be done in the field of alternative cancer therapies. Throughout this project, I learnt to think critically and solve problems whenever I encountered a roadblock. In addition, I was able to apply and practice the theories I had studied throughout the previous four years. I'd like to thank Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and the Student and Research Innovation Grant (SRIG) for giving me the opportunity and financial support to work on this research project. I definitely encourage taking on a project. The experience you gain is worthwhile!
