Berlin, Germany & Prague, Czechia
HIGHLIGHTS
Visit Berlin and Prague to immerse yourself in an interactive learning environment, where you will take part in a wide variety of immersion activities related to local culture and design. You will get the chance to cultivate your interdisciplinary skills through creativity, design thinking, academic inquiry, and cultural awareness.
Over the two-week period, you will visit significant cultural locations and design projects, such as the Berlin Wall, Museum Island, the Bauhaus Museum, and Prague Castle. Through these excursions, you will gain insight into contextual and cultural history of the regions, as well as personal, community, and global issues related to design and the built environment.

A full itinerary of visits to Berlin and Prague's museums, galleries and key sites of interest related to design, including:

- Boros Collection
- Bauhaus Museum Dessau
- Neues Museum
- James-Simon-Galerie
- Alte Nationalgalerie

- St. Georgs Basilica
- St. Vitus Cathedral

- DESN 3100 (3 credits)
PRE-REQUISITES
- 45 credits of 1100-level courses or higher or permission of the instructor(s).
Note that no previous design experience is needed to enroll in DESN 3100. All KPU students are welcome and are encouraged to apply. However, Wilson School of Design students will be given priority. If you are unsure of your qualifications, please contact us with questions.
APPLICATION INFO
Non-WSD Interior Design students interested in participating in this field school must submit a statement of interest outlining their reasons for wanting to partake in this experience. Applications from outside of KPU are encouraged, and will be accepted and considered based on seat availability and compliance with pre-requisites.
