Assessment Matters @ KPU
Assessment is one of the most challenging areas for teachers. Assessment and grading are essential components of good teaching, however many teachers view grading as arduous and students are often unclear on how their grades are determined. How do we ensure that our assessment practices are aligned with the desired learning outcomes? How do we ensure that we are not ‘over-assessing’ but are providing feedback to learning in progress? Why do we assess? These and other questions will be discussed during a number of assessment specific seminars that will take place during the coming semester.
