Are you thinking about how to make your assignments, activities, and course materials more accessible? Wondering how to build inclusive classes and provide options for students while managing your own workload? Do you want to learn more about Universal Design for Learning? This Community of Practice is for you! Join other educators to share ideas, work through challenges, build skills, and offer resources. This will be a flexible Community of Practice that will support you regardless of where you are in your UDL journey – long-term practitioners and curious newcomers alike are welcome!

Meeting Dates

The schedule is scaffolded to allow participants to: build foundational knowledge of UDL; make connections between UDL and other pedagogical frameworks; workshop ideas; and reflect on challenges and successes.

Online synchronous sessions from 2:30-4pm

Session 2: November 15 — Assignments and Feedback

Session 3: December 6 — Community, Care, and Workload

Session 4: January 17 — Building Pathways: UDL, Open Education, and Experiential Learning

Session 5: February 28 — Supporting Different Ways of Knowing: UDL and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization

Session 6: April 4 — Wrap Up and Share
