Poodll MiniLesson
What is it? Poodll MiniLesson is a user-friendly tool for creating interactive language activities in Moodle, covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing with instant feedback.

How to Use:
1. Select MiniLesson content based on curriculum and proficiency.
2. Select the lesson item and add it to the lesson from the lesson items tab.
There are six lesson item types:
a. Content page - The most basic of lesson items. The instructor in the form of text, audio, image or video content block. This is the only lesson item that has no student response or grading.
b. Multi Choice - The Multi Choice lesson item provides a single multi choice question.
c. Dictation - Dictation - Students listen and type what they hear.
d. Dictation Chat - Dictation chat shows a series of dictation items, one at a time in a chat like interface. Each word to be entered is shown in a different text box and shown as correct/incorrect.
e. Speech Cards - Speech cards show a series of audio response items in flashcard type interface. A 3-star rating is given to the student’s response.
f. Listen and Speak - Listen and speak shows a series of audio response items, one at a time in a chat-like interface. Each word to be spoken is shown in a different box and shown as correct/incorrect.

Poodll Read Aloud
What is it? Poodll Read Aloud allows students to practice reading passages, receive feedback on pronunciation and fluency, and track progress. It supports many other languages than English.
Why use it? Encourages regular practice and improves reading skills through immediate feedback, integrating smoothly into online courses.

How to Use:
1.Select passages based on Students' levels.
2.Assign exercises for students to read aloud. (There are four modes to choose from: Listen, Practice, Read, Shadow Practice.)
a. Listen Mode - Model audio for the text is played as the test is highlighted.
b. Practice Mode - In practice model, the student practices reading the passage line by line.
c. Reading Mode - Prior to reading, students are presented with instructions for the task as well as a recorder to test the microphone. The instructions can be configured by the teacher. There are two audio recorder options: "Mic-test then start" and "Just start."
When the recorder begins recording, the passage will appear, and students should begin to read aloud.
When the time limit is reached (default 1 minute) recording will stop and the audio will be submitted for review.
Post-recording - After the attempt has been evaluated (human or machine), students can listen to their reading, see their scores, and review the message.
D. In Shadow Mode, the student reads the entire passage aloud while listening to the model audio playback. Shadow mode is disabled by default. Shadow mode will grade the reading and submit the grade to the gradebook. But this can be disabled in the site administration settings for ReadAloud.

1.Create word card sets with text, images, and audio by choosing SpeechCards from the Atto HTML Editor Widget popup.
2. Press "Insert" and Poodll will insert the SpeechCards tags on the page
