Cassidy Olivier

Cassidy Olivier served as the city editor for the Vancouver Sun and Province newsroom from 2016 until 2021, playing a leading role in assigning and developing stories and coordinating news flow for print and online editions. Before moving to the desk, he was a reporter with a particular focus on provincial politics, investigations and feature writing. In 2012, he wrote a series of stories on a chain of for-profit schools, which culminated in the resignation of a cabinet minister. He has also worked at community newspapers where he covered everything from crime, courts, municipal affairs and BCHL hockey. He currently works in health communications.
