I have been a newspaper reporter for 30 years and have worked at eight newspapers across Canada, including the Vancouver Sun and Province where I write features and investigative stories. Throughout my career I’ve covered a large variety of topics, including crime, politics, and social inequities/injustices.

Areas of Interest

Topics that I have frequently covered include women missing from the Downtown Eastside and the Robert Pickton case; the Highway of Tears case in Northern B.C.; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls; the poisoned drug supply and the overdose crisis; failures in the child welfare system and for youth who age out of care; B.C.’s affordability crisis and how it affects low-income people, families and those who are homeless or poorly housed; mental health and other medical issues; and provincial elections and government policies.
