Dr. Lubna Yusuf Moosa

Lubna Yusuf Moosa is an academic and media professional with over a decade of experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Journalism from the University of Mumbai with a thesis focusing on the ‘Use of second screens during sports events’. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at the same university. She also has experience as a reporter at All India Radio. Lubna is a recipient of the Navchetna Award, recognizing her as the first Muslim female candidate to complete a Ph.D. in Communication and Journalism from the University of Mumbai. She has also presented research papers at both national and international conferences and published them in scholarly journals. Lubna is actively involved in community service, volunteering with Options Community Services and conducting energy conservation workshops for Empower Me in her community. Lubna has actively participated in the Arts 3200: Inside Out prison exchange program, where she taught the course at Surrey pre-trial. Additionally, she successfully completed the Inside Out Instructor's training program conducted in Nanaimo.
