Michaela Lucas first developed her love of philosophy as a KPU student before going on to complete her B.A. in philosophy at Simon Fraser University and her M.A. at the University of British Columbia (where, as a recipient of a SSHRCC research grant, she is currently working towards her Ph.D.). Michaela really enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for philosophy with students who are new to the subject, so she particularly enjoys teaching introductory courses such as 1100, 1110, and 3033. Michaela’s main area of research is in moral philosophy, but she is also very interested epistemology, metaphysics, and early modern philosophy (David Hume and Thomas Reid).
