Emergency Loan
Emergency loans are available to students who are experiencing an unexpected delay with their loans. To apply for an emergency loan, students will need to speak to a Financial Aid Officer.
Emergency Bursary
Limited emergency bursary assistance may be available for students experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. Bursaries are non-repayable awards allocated primarily on the basis of assessed financial need. Students are required to meet with a Financial Aid Advisor regarding their circumstances. Indigenous Emergency Assistance Fund
Through a generous one-time contribution from the Ministry of Advanced Education Innovation and Technology, Kwantlen Polytechnic University has established the Indigenous Emergency Assistance Fund to help Indigenous students who are facing financial barriers. BC Housing Bursary
BC Housing has generously provided a $60,000 contribution over a three year period to support both a bursary and scholarship program ($40,000 and $20,000 respectively). The program is geared to students enrolled in one of the following programs who are either Aboriginal and/or in a demonstrated low income bracket:
- Carpentry Construction
- Construction Electrician
- Masonry
- Plumbing
- Piping
- Low Voltage
- Building Envelope Technologies
