English: Associate of Arts Degree
Description
Concentration in English is an excellent foundation for a variety of studies. Those who wish to major in English are encouraged to take a variety of English courses within an Associate of Arts degree.
Transfer to a Bachelor of Arts Program
Students who complete the Associate of Arts degree in English can apply to Kwantlen’s Bachelor of Arts as long as other third year entry requirements are met.
Students who receive an Associate of Arts degree in English from Kwantlen Polytechnic University will have appropriate course coverage to be eligible to enter the English major program at SFU.
Students who receive an Associate of Arts degree in English from Kwantlen Polytechnic University will have appropriate course coverage to enter the English major program at UVic; however, UVic strongly recommends that students also have a reading knowledge of a second language.
Students who receive an Associate of Arts degree in English from Kwantlen Polytechnic University will have appropriate course coverage to enter the English major program at UBC; however, UBC has additional requirements that students will need to complete.

Content
Within the framework of the Associate of Arts degree, students must complete at least 60 credits with a minimum of C in each course including the following:

The English department strongly recommends that students who are pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in English from Kwantlen Polytechnic University also complete at least one additional second year course chosen from the following list:

Graduation
