Open World International Student Exchange and Mobility
Would you like to experience life in another country, meet new people and enhance the value of your university education? There are several great opportunities to travel and study internationally through Kwantlen’s Open World Exchange Program. Choose from many partner institutions located all over the world. Check out our website at www.kwantlen.ca/exchange for more information.
Kwantlen students who are considering going on an exchange should meet early in their programs with the Exchange Office and an academic advisor in order to best plan their courses both at home and abroad.
Information sessions will begin in the Fall term.
If you are a student from one of Kwantlen’s partner institutions, please apply to come to Kwantlen through your home institution’s exchange office.
If you are a student not from one of Kwantlen’s partner institutions who would like to come to Kwantlen for a semester or a year without seeking a credential from Kwantlen, please follow the instructions for “visiting students” on Kwantlen’s exchange website: www.kwantlen.ca/exchange.
What is Exchange?

When can I go on Exchange?
Most programs allow students to go on exchange for a full year or just one semester during the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of their program. Some programs have restrictions so please check our website to see if any apply to you: www.kwantlen.ca/exchange.
*All students must return to Kwantlen for a minimum of one semester after their exchange term.*
How much does it cost?
Kwantlen students going on exchange pay Kwantlen tuition and fees for the courses they take overseas. Students are also responsible for their own travel, housing and living costs. Living costs vary depending on where you choose to go. While participating in an exchange, students remain eligible for all of their Canadian student loans, scholarships, awards, and bursaries.
How do I apply?

When is the deadline?
All applications to go on exchange during the 2011/2012 academic year must be received by January 28th, 2011. Only complete applications will be accepted.
