What is Early Alert?
The Early Alert program is an online service that enables instructors to identify students who are at risk of falling behind. Instructors are able to refer students for timely and targeted support.
What happens if I’m contacted?
The Early Alert team consists of representatives from KPU student services departments. If an instructor is concerned about a student’s performance, they can refer the student to the Early Alert Team. The Team will identify resources that can assist and the support services will contact the student by email or phone to discuss the situation further.
Can I refer myself?
You may wish to speak with your instructor if you find you are struggling in a class and don't know where to go for help. They will work with you to determine the appropriateness of a referral through the Early Alert system.
If you are uncomfortable with approaching your instructor directly, please email us for support.
