Convocation is the calling together of the KPU community to celebrate and honour our graduates. Convocation ceremonies at KPU take place each year in February and June at the Surrey campus. Graduates who attend the ceremony will receive special keepsakes, such as a red KPU folder, a commemorative medallion, and a lanyard. Graduates can also keep their cap and tassel. Those who do not attend convocation will not receive any keepsakes. Participation in convocation is optional. All graduates receive their credential by mail.

To participate in convocation, all students must have their credentials awarded. During the graduation application process, students have the opportunity to indicate whether they will participate in convocation. Those who select 'Yes' will receive an email with further information. Those who previously selected 'No' or 'Undecided,' but have since decided to attend, must notify graduation@kpu.ca by the specified deadline.
