The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental health as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
Mental health is essential to your academic success as well as your ability to participate fully and meaningfully throughout all aspects of your life. KPU offers a supportive and inclusive campus environment with opportunities to live and learn both in and outside the classroom, facilitating a healthy balance between work/academic and personal life. Seeking or accepting help from others can be an important way to learn coping strategies, gain clarity, and receive emotional support.
