Open Education Research

KPU is a founding member of the Open Educational Resources universitas (OERu), an international network of institutions that offers free online courses for students worldwide. Coordinated by the OER Foundation, an independent, not-for-profit organisation, the OERu network makes higher education accessible to everyone. The OERu partners also provide affordable ways for learners to gain academic credit towards qualifications from recognised institutions.

Watch this video for a brief overview of the OERu model:

Examples of OERu courses:

Creating Sustainable Futures (Developed by Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand)

Understanding Culture in Asia and the Pacific (Developed by the University of Southern Queensland, Australia)
