Foundation programs are designed for individuals with little to no experience but want to gain the knowledge and skills to begin a successful career in trades.
KPU delivers various Foundation programs. If you are unsure what program to select, consider attending one of our Open Houses. Open Houses are offered throughout the year and give you the opportunity to speak with instructional faculty from all the trades programs.

Taking a Foundation program can build the skills that employers are looking for. To progress from the Foundation program to an apprenticeship, you will need to find an employer who will sponsor your apprenticeship and register with the Industry Training Authority (ITA). KPU delivers various apprenticeship programs when you are ready for career advancement.
