Greg Jenion received his Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 2010. His publications include articles in the Canadian Journal of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Journal of Experimental Criminology, Western Criminological Review, Criminal Justice Policy Review; Security Journal, and Intelligence and Security Informatics (ISI).

Dr. Jenion's current research focus is in the area of crime prevention and community safety. In 2007, he was a member of the City of Surrey's Mayor's Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety . Greg is involved in several research projects around the Lower Mainland. These projects have involved extensive file review, as well as the interviewing of offenders in secure institutional settings and local probation offices. In 2005, he was involved in a research project at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (FPH) studying violence and aggression. Greg is associated with the Institute of Canadian Urban Research Studies (ICURS) at SFU under the direction of Drs. Paul and Patricia Brantingham. Prior research involvement at ICURS included Project 6116, A National Study of Young Offender Involvement in Motor Vehicle Theft, and the more recent study of Ambient Populations in the Calculation of Crime Rates with Dr. Martin Andresen.
