Navi Gill
DPGENS (Douglas), BA (SFU), JD (Calgary), LLM (York)Navi Gill has been a sessional instructor at KPU since 2006; teaching since 2004; lawyer since 2003; and Crown Counsel since 2004. She continues to service on a number of boards within organizations as a guest lecturer/speaker; judge on moots and debates; and working projects within the community. Navi devotes time to programs that address cultural and systemic barriers in society. She is committed to academic and athletic excellence through equitable access to education.
Navi was the recipient of the 2017 Lexpert Zenith Award: Celebrating Women in Law, which celebrates the advancement of women in the legal profession. In 2017, she was a Canadian delegate to the National Association of Attorneys General Training and Research Institute in Washington, DC and New York City in the United States of America. In 2018, 2020, and 2021, she was one of the nominees of the top 25 most influential lawyers in the Canadian Lawyer Magazine. She was a short-listed 2020 nominee for the Dean of Arts Teaching Award, an award in recognition of outstanding and innovative teaching practices that consistently encourage student success and academic achievement.
