The Being a Creative Entrepreneur course will inspire and empower aspiring entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to unleash their creative potential as the first step into transforming innovative ideas into successful ventures. This dynamic, interactive, and experiential course explores the crucial role of creativity in innovation and entrepreneurship, equipping students with essential strategies, frameworks, and skills to foster a mindset of innovation, creative problem-solving, and out-of-the-box thinking much needed in today’s business environment.

Marcelo Machado is a distinguished academic and industry leader with a unique blend of expertise in digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation management. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and a robust industry background, Marcelo has consistently bridged theory and practice in his work. He holds a PhD in Technology & Knowledge Management from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and has completed executive programs at prestigious institutions including Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and Oxford's Said Business School. Notably, Marcelo earned a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University's School of Engineering, further solidifying his credentials in this critical area. As a tenured faculty member, he has developed and taught courses on innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable operations. Marcelo's industry experience as a senior consultant, innovation manager, and advisor to technology startups has given him valuable insights into various innovation ecosystems. His research and teaching emphasize the intersection of technology, sustainability, and business strategy, making him well-positioned to lead initiatives that prepare students for the evolving demands of the global business landscape.
