The StrongerBC future skills grant (FSG), funded by the Province of British Columbia, is open to residents of British Columbia aged 19 years or older - regardless of financial need - and covers up to $3,500 in eligible short-term skills training at public post-secondary institutions.
Eligibility
To be eligible for funding, you:
- Must either have already graduated from Grade 12 (or equivalent) or at least 19 years old;
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person entitled to study in Canada;
- Must be a resident of British Columbia;
- Must not be receiving, or entitled to receive, the benefit of funding towards the eligible fees provided through other grants, loans, scholarships or comparable funding programs; and
- Must provide consent to collect and disclose personal information that is relevant to accessing the StrongerBC future skills grant to the Province of British Columbia and KPU.

How to Apply
- Check the eligibility criteria to confirm your eligibility for the grant.
- Choose and register for your course from the above list.
- Download the FSG intake form and email to cps@kpu.ca. You will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days.
- Apply for the StrongerBC future skills grant online using your BC Services Card Account starting August 6, 2024.
- If you need help with your BC Services Card Account, please contact the BC Services Card Help Desk.
- You will receive further instructions via email. Successful applicants will be refunded of their registration fee and course materials (if any).
