Description: Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Langley campus has been awarded provincial funding for a major maintenance project to replace all building roofs. The Ministry of Advanced Education will contribute over $1 million toward the project, which will begin early September. KPU is contributing matching funds to the project through the university’s deferred maintenance fund, which comprises annual investments reserved for renovation and construction projects that prolong the life of its facilities. The work will start with the Library roof and the South West wing and will move eastwards. |

Progress: The contractor is mobilized. The vacuuming of the ballast on the library roof commenced. The scaffolding at the South West wing are being erected. |
