KPU101 Thriving in Action is a six-week program which explores the relationship between positive psychology and effective learning strategies. It has been demonstrated to enhance student well-being, confidence, and competence in managing university studies successfully. It also cultivates motivation, agency, and resilience to improve the lives of students.

Potential topics covered in the course include awe, meaningfulness, character strengths, curiosity and creativity, gratitude, grit (persistence), growth mindset, intentionality, resilience, optimism, self-compassion, willpower, and habits. 

This program that runs every Friday, from 11:00-12:00 PM, for six weeks, from January 24th to February 28th, 2025. 

The dates, times and locations for the in-person sessions are as follows:

  • January 24th - February 28th, 2025, 11-12:00 pm-  Cedar 3010, Surrey campus

This series is expected to take a maximum of about 60 minutes per week.

A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the program. There are no grades or credits associated with this program.
