Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Reserved and Non-Reserved Parking?
All parking is random parking, first come first served. If Reserve parking is full, reserved pass holders can find parking in the unreserved parking areas. Unreserved pass holders can only park in unreserved parking stalls, during regular University hours, Monday to Friday. After 4pm, Monday to Friday and anytime Saturday and Sunday, unreserved pass holders may park in the reserved stalls.
Are parking permits valid on all campuses?
Yes, the Daily Parking Passes and all E-Permits are valid for parking on all campuses (Surrey, Richmond, Langley and KPU Tech), except Civic Plaza campus.
If I have an Accessible Persons' Parking (SPARC) permit do I still have to purchase a parking permit?
No, as long as your Accessible Persons' Parking (SPARC) permit is valid, and you are parked in a accessible stall, KPU does not require you to purchase a parking permit.
If I have a Accessible Persons' Parking (SPARC) permit where can I park?
SPARC pass holders can park in the accessible parking stalls for free with their permits; however they are expected to pay if they are not parking in a designated stall. In other words, it’s the designated stall that is free and not the pass. The pass is not transferable to other parking stalls.
What happens if all the parking is full on Campus and I have paid for a permit?
Having a KPU Multi-Campus Permit does not guarantee that there will be parking available at all times. Please be aware of activity and traffic around campus and plan your travel accordingly. The Intercampus Shuttle is available for use to travel between the Langley, Surrey and Tech campuses as an alternative to driving to campus.
What should I do if change vehicle license plate?
Log into your Concord account and update your license plate(s) or contact Concord Parking Support
Do I have to pay for Motorcycle or Scooter parking?
Motorcycles are not required to purchase a parking pass if parked in designated motorcycle parking stalls, but are required to have a pay-by-plate daily pass or e-permit if parked in a vehicle stall.
Can I park overnight at any of KPU campuses?
No, overnight parking is not allowed.
How do I cancel my permit?
You can cancel your permit online through your Concord account. Cancellations must be received by the 20th of the month in order to avoid being charged for the following month.
