Student Awards & Financial Assistance
Students participating in international learning opportunities may apply for KPU scholarships and awards subject to meeting eligibility. Please visit KPU Student Awards and Financial Assistance website. There are a few specific opportunities to draw attention to:
What: the scholarship is to help 3 Business students with participation in a KPU Study Abroad global summer program. KPU Study Abroad’s office will provide details for the acceptance and next steps after the last application deadline and committee review.
How to apply: applicants must first apply and be accepted to a KPU Study Abroad global summer program.
Application Deadline: same as the summer program deadline
Eligibility:
1. Be a declared Business KPU student
2. Domestic or international
3. Have a min GPA of 3.0
4. Demonstrated financial need considerations
5. Volunteer/community Service an asset
Amount: $500 CA
KPU Student Educational Enhancement Fund - (up to $500) to help support learning experiences outside of the classroom which are directly related to their program of study and educational goals. Most study abroad participants may apply to get up to $500 reimbursed from their flight to join the study abroad program. This funding renews each academic year, so you may apply each year you are studying at KPU for multiple opportunities. Applications are evaluated and approved in the order they are received until funds are used up. Refund of eligible expenses is issued after the application deadline for the term.
Application Deadlines for the 2024–2025 Fiscal Year:
- Summer 2024 - June 30, 2024
- Fall 2024 - October 31, 2024
- Spring 2025 - February 28, 2025

Dr. Barry Leach Endowed Memorial Awards - (up to $1360) will be presented to two students: one for studying Environmental Protection Technology and one for studying History and/or International Studies.

White Rock & Surrey Naturalists' Society Barry Leach Endowed Memorial Scholarship - (up to $1280) the White Rock & Surrey Naturalists' Society is pleased to present an award to a student with a commitment to ecology or environmental studies.

KPU Student Leadership Awards - ($1000) awarded to a student who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to KPU student life while also maintaining a good academic standard.

Student Loans
Domestic students participating in exchange and some other international learning opportunities are generally eligible to apply or remain eligible for their student loans. For information on applying, please visit the KPU Student Awards and Financial Assistance website.
