Here are some of the volunteer opportunities TALK has to offer:
- Join the Board and/or the Program Committee and/or the Marketing Committee
- Become a course facilitator (organizer)
- Become a course presenter (speaker)
- Introduce a Philosophers’ Corner topic
- Be part of a dynamic organization that makes a difference in the lives of seniors
TALK volunteers can:
- Help plan courses
- Suggest topic ideas
- Identify speakers/presenters
- Recruit new members
- Help organize special events
- Help promote TALK
- Help guide the organization into its second 25 years!
Perks of becoming a TALK volunteer:
- Get a preview of what courses are coming up
- Courses you are organizing/facilitating are free for you and you are provided with a parking pass if they are on campus
- Increases your community involvement
- Keeps you active and fights boredom
- Helps you make new friends
