Library Services for Alumni

If you are a KPU Alumni, you can submit an application for a KPU card by following the steps at https://www.kpu.ca/library/kpu-card.

Your Alumni Card is valid for 4 months from the date of issue. You may reapply to continue your membership.

Alumni privileges include:
•    General collection borrowing (5 item limit, 3 week loan, 1 renewal on eligible items)
•    On-site use of journals, DVDs, research databases, ebooks 
•    Off-site use of select online research databases (see list below)
•    Wifi access or 1 hour computer access sessions
•    Online book request and account management
•    Research Help Desk assistance while on site
•    Research consultations by appointment with Community Outreach Librarian

Alumni are welcome to use general study space, browse collections, and KPU Library assistance while in our spaces.

Unfortunately, course reserves, interlibrary loans, study rooms, and Media & Equipment services are not available to Alumni.

Standard borrowing & return rules, account management, and fines and fees apply to Alumni accounts, unless otherwise specified. 

Visit My Library Account to manage your borrowing and billing details. You are responsible for all items borrowed and any charges accrued on your library account. All notices from the library are emailed to the address you provide.

Most research database are available to alumni on campus from guest stations. Open access databases that the KPU library has highlighted are on this list.

The following databases are also available offsite for Alumni. You can access them below or from this alumni database list. You will need your KPU BANNER ID (9 digits), and password when prompted.

If you bring your own device, most of our databases are available once you have logged into the guest wireless.
