New Student Orientation (On-Campus)
All new KPU students starting in Summer/May 2025 are invited and encouraged to attend New Student Orientation*!
This is an opportunity to:
- Connect with your fellow KPU students, staff, and the whole KPU community.
- Learn about all the amazing resources and services available to you.
- Explore the campus.
- Prepare for your first semester at KPU.
- For a chance to win some prizes!
*Mandatory for new KPU international students.
*Registration is required to attend.
Once you have registered for your courses, we recommend attending at the campus where most of your courses are held. For Trades (KPU Tech) students, we recommend registering for Surrey campus.

Students with Disabilities
For students who require accommodations to fully participate at New Student Orientation (examples: American Sign Language Interpreter, Wheelchair access, Personal Care Attendant, etc.) there will be a section in the ticket registration to request for accommodation(s). Preparing for your first semester at KPU
- Pre-order your KPU Card (Student ID) online. You can order your card up to one month before the start of classes.
- Order your books online at bookstore.kwantlen.ca
- Check on your program/Faculty website to see if you have an additional Program Orientation or Information Sessions to attend.
- International & Exchange students - Submit all required documents to KPU International through the iCent app
Online Orientation Course
Learn valuable and practical information about starting your studies like how to get your books, what services are available to you, the upass, and your KSA Health and Dental plan through our Online Orientation Course.
*This course is designed for domestic and international students. It is mandatory for all new incoming international students.
International Students
Online Live Orientation for New International Students at KPU (via MS Teams):
This session will introduce you to various services and programs available at KPU to help ease your transition, provide important academic information, cover key deadlines, and discuss health insurance. We’ll also share details about the in-person orientation to ensure you're fully prepared for a successful start at KPU. International students must attend New Student Orientation on campus as well as the Online Live Orientation for New International Students.
